A Shared Dream
where will you be
when the day slips
into the arms of
where i always
seem to be;
between my rooftop
and the sky,
the velvet overflow
if you are close
to share this
I’m floating right on the edge,
Yearning for our sweet velvet concoction of reality,
With the vision walls lined with burgundy
I still hover over the subconscious,
But not there completely…
I’m still encased in black with golden specks,
Desperately seeking, reaching,
For this dream to drown me.
pulls me up
weightless i glide
swimming in the wake
of diamond tailed fishes
that lead me on,
i will find you
on the edge
of our shared
for i can feel you;
your searching hands
a translucent pane,
its kaleidoscope refraction
waiting to be punctured
by the meeting
of our outstretched
I see your fingertips reaching for my hands’ end,
So our fantasia can begin.
And once our fingers graze one another’s lightly,
I am no longer bound by the heavy weight of reality.
I’m finally able to escape this layered lucidity,
Free to dream with you completely once more
As my fingers wrap around yours.
Shattering the concealed layer of the conscious living.
Our warmth, being the key to the subliminal,
The perfect purity,
Where our lustrous fantasies reside in phantasm.
I no longer tote the line,
The resistance of my mind,
Destroyed every time you fly with me.
And even though my eyes are lidded,
My soul sings as I reach home and my vision,
Is the clearest it has ever been as our eyes truly open.
