Sorry To Keep You Waiting (I’m Not)

Sorry to keep you waiting, but I refuse to respond directly

I rather use rhymes and lines to get you wondering if this is about you

I’d rather use cryptic and abstract language laced with ambiguity,

Than to respond to you; sorry, but that’s what I choose to do

‘Cause with this art form, this is another way of expressing,

Things I wish I could say, but choose not to

So just like you, I’m left wishing,

To give you a taste of this sickness, the flu,

‘Cause that’s what your messages make me,

Sick, I want absolutely nothing to do with you,

So just stop messaging me and leave me be

What’s done is done and this relationship will NEVER be renewed

Call all you want, I’m not answering

I know you wanna break me, but I won’t let you, dude

You know what I want? For you to simply leave,

And never come back, it’s not me, it’s you

And I make no apologies, for being curt and brief

It’s better than lashing out and cussing you till my face is blue

So I’ll leave this here and stop with the rhyming

Just know this may or may not be about you

I wrote this.........in late-February? I don't even remember. I just thought about postin' it....And yeah. Lol, not a real happy camper. :lmao:

All feedback is appreciated. Whether you love it, like it, or hate it. :aww:

:huggle: I thought I was going to like this poem, at the beginning, but you turned it into something, well, a little nasty. I still like it, and admire it cuz it's something I'm not good at doing but it isn't what I thought it would be.
