The End Of Us
This is the end of us; you and me,
You and I; no more together or between
No more pair, no more couple, I suppose it wasn’t meant to be
I can’t say it’s you or me,
Us together just wasn’t a part of our destiny
I won’t blame you for losing control of your emotions
Or believing I wasted your precious time
But us ending……believe me, was not my intention
I truly believed we’d be forever, longer than even eternity
But we’ve grown distant and our love has evaporated…..
I don’t have much to say, but this one thing: “Please don‘t hate me.”
Because I honestly loved you with all of my being
But sometimes love simply isn’t enough, when someone’s unhappy
I guess I settled down too quickly…….
Maybe I wasn’t ready for a true commitment
I felt…….trapped here, not by you…….but here
This place was choking me……I guess I got some issues to deal with
Please don’t believe me to be a cold or callous traitor
I’m doing this for the both of us
You may not see it now, but you’ll see it later
I’m not the man you believed me to be
You’ll soon find someone far better
2nd drawer on the right……our old bedroom dresser
What you’ll find is a letter……explaining my departure
I cry myself to sleep on this plane
Thinkin’ about your trembling hands and tear-stained face,
While reading my goodbye
But I promise you this, I’ll love you till the day I die
And I hope you believe me ’cause the last thing I want is for you to hate me

Not Again
And if this were to have a beat it'd be Ras Kass' Understandable Smooth. This beat is dark enough, but groovy enough to fit this poem. Plus, it's just dope.
